I'm teaching a course called Philosophy in the Gallery: Themes from Wittgenstein at Tate Modern for 4 weeks, beginning on September 11th. Not an exposition of Wittgenstein, but rather an opportunity to explore ideas such as family resemblances, privacy of experience, etc. in relation to works of art. It's the most amazing luxury to be able to teach in Tate Modern after the gallery is closed to the public - each week we spend some time in the galleries looking and discussing. I really enjoy teaching this kind of applied philosophy - not least because I get to talk about philosophy and art with an interesting range of people who are genuinely enthusiastic about both subjects. Check out what is in the Tate Collection.
